Aloha Calzone
This calzone takes a tropical turn with the addition of mango. Jalapeño bacon adds a spicy kick.
Ingredients
1 Rich ' s Fresh n ' Ready Pizza Crust
5-8 tsp. pizza sauce
3/4 tsp. shredded mozarella
1/8 oz. Layout® bacon jalapeno
3/4 tsp. mango, unripe
1 egg, large
Steps
- Cook bacon until fully cooked and an internal temp of 155 degrees.
- Remove bacon from pan, leaving the grease. Add the mango to the bacon fast and cook for about 5 mins until mango is softened.
- Crack and scramble egg in a bowl. Set aside.
- Spread pizza dough out on a clean surface.
- Place sauce on pizza dough, then top with mozzarella cheese. Top with diced bacon and mango.
- Fold pizza dough in half, tucking the open edges under.
- Brush the top of the crust with egg wash.
- Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
- Bake calzone in oven for approximately 12 minutes or until pizza crust is fully baked and golden brown.
