Students at Southern Oregon University now have a new food option on campus, and one that puts several spins on the classic chicken sandwich.

Citizen Chicken, which opened last week, was developed with input from Aladdin chefs around the country. The location at Southern Oregon is the concept’s first.

Diners can choose from a variety of chicken sandwiches, including Nashville hot, BLT and plant based. They are served with fries, corn muffins and cilantro slaw.

Other items on the menu include mac and cheese and fried pickles.

“The new Citizen Chicken opens innovative culinary and Southern culture opportunities to Aladdin locations across the country, where students, but also members of our local communities can savor the tastes of the deep south,” Aladdin Director of Culinary Eric Pearce said in a press release. “We are excited to bring additional quality food options, and our brands respond to what our students want to eat on campus.”
