One is a Taipei joint designed to look like an airplane cabin, complete with servers dressed like flight attendants. Another in Singapore has a hospital theme (the seating is on wheelchairs and banquettes made to look like metal hospital beds). These are two of seven bizarre restaurant themes compiled at this site. Others include Fortezza Medicea in Italy, which is literally located inside a prison and is staffed mostly by inmates (tip generously or else…), and Medieval Times in Florida, where diners eat like they did in the Middle Ages (i.e., with their hands).

But our vote for weirdest goes to “Modern Toilet,” a “toilet themed” Chinese concept that has been so successful it has opened a dozen units. Guess they were feeling flush…
