Okay, we won't take any more shots at coffee selling for $4 a cup, not after seeing a New York Post story about the $12 cups of joe being served at the appropriately named Café Grumpy.
Predictably, the café (and its supplier) talks up the quality and exclusivity of the beans being used. “It's a cacophony of nuances,” says Steve Holt, vp for distributor Ninety Plus Coffee, according to the Post. “You detect flavors of apricot, pineapple, bergamot, kiwi and lime. The deeper tones are levels of chocolate, and the finish is super clean.”
Well, that sounds like a cacophony of something, at any rate…
