Centerplate has partnered with celebrity chef Marja Vongerichten ("The Kimchi Chronicles" on PBS) to introduce a Korean concept, BiBiFresh, to New York City's Javits Center convention facility. The concept, which offers a traditional Korean dish called BiBimBap—literally meaning "mixed meal" or "mixed rice—debuted on September 19th for the annual fashion trade show, ENK Show-Fashion Coterie.

Working with co-founder and president John-Paul Lee, Vongerichten based BiBiFresh on the idea of "Seoul Food From the Soul" with traditional yet approachable dishes featured in the freshest, healthiest, and most casual format.

At Javits Center, BiBimBap will offer warm rice, namul (sauteed or steamed vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste) and an addition of various marinated proteins (beef, pork, chicken, tofu, salmon/shrimp) topped with a fried egg. The bowl is then stirred to combine the flavors.

"We are excited to be partnering with Marja Vongerichten at the Javits Convention Center," says John Erickson, Centerplate's executive at the Javits Convention Center. "Centerplate always looks for innovative ways to bring new flavors and experiences to our guests."
