BrucePac is recalling about 11,765,258 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products. The company is issuing the recall because the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products were produced from May 2024 to October 2024 and then shipped to distributors who supply food for restaurants, schools and other institutions. Over 100 schools may have these recalled products.

The problem was identified after the Food Safety and Inspection Service did a routine product test of finished products. Additional investigation determined that BrucePac RTE chicken is the source of the Listeria monocytogenes.

There have been no confirmed reports of negative reactions as a result of eating these products.

Institutions who have purchased the recalled meat are urged to not use or serve these products and to throw them away or return to the place of purchase.
