This month, Metz Culinary Management, an FM Top 50 company that operates in multiple market segments, launched a number of initiatives recently to better serve customers in today’s coronavirus-restricted environment. They include Chef Fresh, a new brand that provides a series of grab-and-go selections with healthy profiles that are made fresh to provide an alternative to counter-served food.
Our Flavor of the Month this month was Açaí which is a small, dark purple berry from South American rainforests that is widely touted as a superfood because, like other berries, it is high in antioxidants and other nutrients.
Plus, food service will be less of a contact sport and the game plan includes streamlined menus, mobile ordering, social distancing, pre-packaged food and more at both Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium and Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. The team at Centerplate/Sodexo who manage both of the stadiums' food services and happen to be two of the venues that are among just a handful of football stadiums that will have fans attending games. From parking (no tailgating) to entranceways to lines to ordering food, eating it and finally exiting the stadium, there are new contact-minimizing protocols in place.
