University of Notre Dame foodservice workers in the school’s retail Huddle Food Court are petitioning to be paid time-and-a-half with mandatory breaks on the Saturdays of Notre Dame home football games. The employees say the extra compensation and benefits are reasonable considering the demands the significantly greater volume the Huddle operation experiences during football Saturdays puts on them. Notre Dame administrators will review the petition and respond directly to the workers, a university spokesman said.
