School district uses local produce for Christmas meal

Avoyelles Parish School District in Marksville, La., is using local produce for its Christmas lunch, A Voyelles Today reports.

The district will be using sweet potatoes grown by a local farmer as well as cabbage and possibly broccoli grown by students at the district’s Louisiana School for the Agricultural Sciences.
