School district partners with local farmers market for summer feeding

Meal participation at Forestville Central School District has increased as a result.

Forestville Central School District in Forestville, N.Y., has partnered with its local farmers market to hand out free summer meals, The Observer reports.

The market runs every Thursday and kids 18 and under are able to receive the district's meals.

The Forestville nutrition team says that meal participation has increased since setting up a booth at the market.
