Hospitals are on the front lines of the pandemic response, which means their dining programs must keep up service to patients, staff and whatever visitors are permitted on the premises despite restrictions, shortages, limitations and mandates. This challenge has been met by healthcare dining professionals in a variety of ways that Food Management has followed and documented over the past 18 months. During this past year, as the virus receded and them seemed to re-emerge with new variants, hospital dining teams have developed and rolled out a variety of ways to provide quality, convenient and safe foodservice.
