HFM Names Schroeder President

HFM has elected Kris Schroeder, nutrition services director for the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, to be its president for the 2009-2010 term. Maria Worley, nutrition program director and chief dietitian of the US Army Medical Command in Fort Sam Houston, TX, was elected to serve as the treasurer while Alice Pollard, director of central food productions for the Premiere Health Partners in Dayton, OH, will serve as secretary in 2009-2010. HFM members last month cast their votes for the offices as well as for filling seven vacancies on the board of directors and two members-at-large seats.

The seven members elected to the Class of 2009 board of directors are Mary Fonville, director of food and nutrition service, Harris Methodist Northwest, Azle, TX; Mary Gregoire, director of food and nutrition services, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago; Dexter Hancock, director nutrition services, DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, AL; Dan Henroid, director of nutrition and food services, University of California San Francisco Medical Center; Mary Jaskowski, director of nutrition services, Saint Mary's Health Care, Grand Rapids, MI; Randall Sparrow, foodservice director, Bloomington (IN) Hospital; and Mary Spicer, director of nutrition services, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, TX.
