Lunch shaming bill introduced in Mich.

A bill has been introduced in Michigan that would ban lunch shaming in the state, WBCK reports.

The bill was introduced by Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich and would require schools across the state to provide USDA-reimbursable meals to students regardless of whether they have enough money to pay. Schools would also be able to set up a fund to help families pay for their children’s lunch.

The state’s Senate Committee on Education is reviewing the bill.
