IFMA names 2017 Silver Plate winners
The annual list of top industry leaders includes four noncommercial figures.
The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association has named its Silver Plate award winners for 2017.
The list of eight winners, each of whom took the top prize in their respective category, includes four making waves in the noncommercial segment:
Betti Wiggins, FSD at Detroit Public Schools (and winner of FoodService Director’s most recent FSD of the Year award)
Ted Faulkner, dining services director at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
Patti Oliver, director of nutrition at UCLA Health
Jeff Metz, CEO of Metz Culinary Management
The winners were named as part of IFMA’s Chain Operators Exchange in Las Vegas. One of the eight will be announced as 2017’s Gold Plate recipient in May, according to a release. Last year, Yale University’s Rafi Taherian took home that top honor.
