Arkansas has passed two bills to help low-income students receive food and not be stigmatized in the lunchroom, KARK reports.
The first bill prevents districts from offering alternative meals to students who can’t pay and also prevents them from stigmatizing students publicly.
The second bill allows districts to form their own policies for serving excess cafeteria food to students.
