Tumbleweeds, a Mexican restaurant in Richland, Wash., has created its own menu item to help pay off lunch debt at Richland School District, YakTriNews reports

The restaurant debuted its $5 Cafeteria Burrito, which includes beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, burrito sauce, Sriracha ranch and onion and cilantro mix, late last month. Half of the proceeds from the menu item go toward students’ negative meal balances. The restaurant has donated more than $1,000 to the school district so far.

Inspired by Tumbleweeds, Uncle Sam’s Saloon, a sports bar in Kennewick, Wash., has come up with its own menu item, available starting this week, to help alleviate meal debt at Kennewick School District.

The Chip Away includes a grilled beef and cheddar sandwich with a side of chips for $10. Half of the proceeds will go toward negative lunch balances at the district. The sandwich will be on the menu indefinitely.
