Cura Hospitality enhances waitstaff training
Cura Hospitality rolls out an enhanced waitstaff training program aimed at improving resident experience.

Cura Hospitality has enhanced its waitstaff training program with the goal of improving resident experience. The foodservice provider’s training module is dubbed “8” and is designed to provide tools and resources to servers. The resources include a guide to understanding Cura’s residents’ generation and tools that teach how to communicate as well as proper service techniques. The training platform is a key component of Cura’s Completely Satisfied customer service program.
The training platform includes table discussions and quizzes. But the program also encourages learning by doing.
“We create a mock dining scenario where servers will practice their skills with their fellow servers, reinforcing excellent customer service skills and more importantly how to enhance life around great food,” said Jared Levin, senior director of marketing for Cura Hospitality, in a statement.
Servers also learn service basics, how to properly and professionally serve residents and how to deal with guest recovery situations during meal service. In addition, after completing the waitstaff training, servers will have opportunities to participate in other Completely Satisfied courses including culinary training, nutrition education and communication tools.

Our training is the answer to the senior living’s struggle to both attract and retain skilled employees – who are in most cases, high school-age students,” said Levin. “Our servers are the first point of contact for residents and our guests upon entering the dining room.
