Features include kosher station.
The University of Wisconsin at Madison has opened its newest renovated dining hall, Rheta’s at Chadbourne Residential College. Named for Rheta McCutchin, the former director of residential dining who was responsible for introducing a la carte dining in residence halls back in the 1970s, the new eatery features six stations, including Kosher, which offers kosher selections prepared in a separate kitchen.
Currently, Kosher only offers freshly prepared foods during lunch on weekdays, but a grab-and-go component makes kosher frozen foods and beverages available any time Rheta’s is open. Other stations include Classic Cravings (comfort foods), Wild Greens (sandwiches and salads), Hot Stuff (grilled items), Preparato Fresco (made-to-order pizzas, calzones and pastas) and World Galleria, which features a wok, a tandoor oven and a Mongolian grill.
In addition, the cafeteria features Now or Later, a convenience store that opened in September and incorporates an ice cream and espresso bar.
