This past August, we installed a food waste reduction and conversion system. We now divert about 1,500 pounds of pulp each week and reduce it by 85% in volume. In the process, the pulp becomes a sterile biomass suitable for compost or is tilled directly into the soil. It is picked up by our certified organic CSA.
