FoodService Director - Steal this idea - Clell Hoffman - grow on site

I pay teachers to grow produce for my garden bars. We have to buy produce from somewhere, and this encourages teachers to get their class into the garden and helps them make a connection between the classroom and school foodservice. It also teaches and promotes supporting local food systems and increases consumption and participation.
