Foodservice operations are helping out those in need this Thanksgiving seasonFoodservice operations are helping out those in need this Thanksgiving season

Thanksgiving is a holiday in which food plays a central role. It’s the perfect time to gather around the table with those closest to you and dine on traditional Thanksgiving fare such as traditional turkey and mashed potatoes, or serve up cuisine that fits your culinary tradition. But, more than that, Thanksgiving is about celebrating and giving gratitude with loved ones. That makes it the perfect holiday to spread a little cheer to others. And what better way to do that then with food? This year to celebrate the holiday, many foodservice operations and other foodservice players took the opportunity to give back to those in need or to their greater communities. From hosting food drives to distributing Thanksgiving meal kits, in this edition of FSD’s Heart of FoodService, we’ll take a look at how on-site dining is celebrating the holiday this year.
