Lorna Donatone, COO and market president of the Education sector for Sodexo, has been named chair-elect by the Women's Foodservice Forum. Carin Stutz, president of global business development for Brinker International, was named chair.

James Pool has been named president of TurboChef, a division of The Middleby Corp. Pool replaces Paul Lehr who is retiring.

Indian Harvest, a supplier of specialty grains, beans, legumes and blends for foodservice, has added Chef Coleen Donnelly to its culinary team. She will specialize in developing meal solutions for the K-12 market to meet proposed new USDA guidelines that call for greater use of whole grains in menu planning.

The J. M. Smucker Co. has completed its acquisition of the coffee brands and business operations of Rowland Coffee Roasters, Inc., Rowland products are primarily sold under the Hispanic Cafe Bustelo and Cafe Pilon brands.

J & J Snack Foods Corp. has completed the acquisition of the frozen handheld business of ConAgra Foods. The business includes dough enrobed products sold under the Patio, Hand Fulls, Holly Ridge Bakery, Villa Taliano, Top Picks and private label brands.

The Vollrath Co. LLC, has acquired Traex Co., a maker of warewashing systems and plastic kitchen products, from Libbey, Inc. The transaction expands Vollrath's food service supplies offerings by adding plastic molding and manufacturing capabilities.

Sugar Foods Corp. has acquired the Mrs. Cubbison's brand from Hostess Brands. Mrs. Cubbison's is a retail brand known for its stuffing mixes and croutons. A prominent foodservice company, Sugar Foods plans to build the Mrs. Cubbison's brand with new products for the foodservice market.

Foodservice packaging firm D&W Fine Pack has named Mark Staton President/CEO. He had been CEO of Associated Packaging Technologies.

Cambro has named Greg Schurch to the new position of vice president of sales planning & development. He had previously served as national healthcare manager for the company.

COO Christopher Leader has been named president of Hoshizaki America, Inc., and of Hoshizaki USA Holdings Inc., parent company of Hoshizaki America and Lancer Corp. He joined Hoshizaki in January 2010.

Wallace McCain, co-founder of McCain Foods, passed away May 13th after a 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 81.
