San Antonio College students are voicing their concerns about the campus’ new foodservice provider, Lancer Hospitality, The Ranger.org has learned.

The foodservice provider recently started its three-year contract, replacing Selrico Services, which served the campus for eight years. Lancer introduced new food options, but students said they were upset by changes in pricing.

According to officials, Lancer Hospitality was hired to make the school’s food services more affordable, but prices have instead risen.

“I thought it was pricey before. Now I really don’t want to buy anything. I thought the food was better last semester. The pizza slices were a lot bigger for the same price they are now,” De La Garza told The Ranger.
