Students at the University of Southern Mississippi are calling for the university to rethink its foodservice contract with Aramark because of its hours of operation and meal plan prices, reports WDAM-TV.

A petition with more than 1,000 signatures has circulated on campus after Carmine Harrell, a junior at the Hattiesburg, Miss., university, wrote a blog post claiming the hours of operation and meal plan pricing at the school’s main cafeteria were not adequate nor fair, thus limiting students’ food options.

Jim Call, the university’s chief communication officer, says Aramark officials have met with Harrell and members of the Student Government Association, who will provide feedback throughout the matter, according to the website.
