Starting this fall, Princeton University plans to allow upperclassmen to receive two free meals per week in its residential college dining halls, regardless of whether or not they purchase a dining hall meal plan, according to the Daily Princetonian campus news service. The new policy is part of the extensive changes that will affect Princeton’s residential college system next school year when a planned conversion to four-year colleges take effect,and is intended to let upperclassmen stay connected to the four-year residential college system without the commitment of living in the residential college. Upperclassmen who stay in Princeton’s new four-year residential colleges will have these two meals built into their dining contracts, which require them to purchase at least a 95-block meal plan.
