Sodexo has secured contract to provide food services at 31 Marine Corps garrison mess halls in the Eastern United States, while units in the West will be serviced by Superior Services, a contract management company based in Fresno, CA. Sodexo had held the contract for the entire U.S. under its previous deal with the Marines, which it secured in 2001/

Sodexo's deal is a $66.3 million performance-based, fixed-price service contract with incentive and award fee provisions. It includes seven one-year options that, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value to nearly $926 million.

Superior's deal is for $55.4 million with the same provisions to service 20 garrison mess halls. It has a potential cumulative value of $764 million.

More than 37 percent of Sodexo’s contract will be serviced through teaming agreements with local and minority-owned companies and organizations.
