Sodexo has been awarded franchise development rights by the Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill fast-casual restaurant concept, whoch specializes in fresh, healthy Mediterranean cuisine. As part of the preferred partnership agreement, Sodexo plans to open Garbanzo locations across the U.S. in select healthcare, education, government and corporate business locations.
“As a company we are committed to bringing quality and variety to our customers every day, as well as to the overall well-being of the communities we serve,” adds John Wright, vice president of offer development for Sodexo. “Garbanzo is an emerging concept that is quickly gaining recognition in the marketplace as consumer demand grows for Mediterranean and its health benefits. Garbanzo’s authenticity, adventuresome menu and brand personality made it a natural choice in supporting our national brand strategy.”
“Healthcare, corporate and education environments provide access to a large population who emphasize healthy eating and living,” explains Garbanzo founder, president and CEO Alon Mor. “We are excited to offer a fresh and authentic Mediterranean experience to these guests throughout the U.S.”
Garbanzo offers a variety of authentic Mediterranean dishes and guests can customize every meal with items such as pita, laffa, falafel, shwarma, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces and dressings. All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared on-site daily, and the pita are made from scratch throughout the day in every restaurant. Additionally, several ingredients are bought locally and some are imported directly from the Mediterranean region.
