Sodexo’s convenience business, InReach, announced it has acquired VendEdge, a vending and micromarket company based in the Southeast.

The foodservice management company says the acquisition will help provide a variety of fresh food options to clients without onsite kitchens.

“With [the] VendEdge acquisition we now have the right platform to grow in the Southeastern U.S. market as well as expand our reach to clients without onsite kitchens who need premium food and beverage options.”said Husein Kitabwalla, CEO of food transformation for Sodexo North America, in a statement.

Earlier this year, Sodexo also acquired convenience-services company Frontline Food Services.
