Robot Serves Frozen Treats at Children's Museum

A robot making and serving made-to-order Reis & Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt has debuted at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

A robot making and serving made-to-order Reis & Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt has debuted at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Sodexo, the museum's dining solutions provider, has partnered with Robofusion, which claims to be the world’s only manufacturer of interactive robotic kiosks, to open units in multiple locations in the U.S., with the Indianapolis Children’s Museum being the first to test the robot-made sweet treat.

“The robotic kiosk is more than just a retail opportunity; it is its own exhibit,” says Robofusion founder/CEO Allan Jones. "These kiosks aren’t just delivering yogurt, they are providing a means of educating kids in an engaging manner—demonstrating the exciting new ways in which technology, and robots, are being utilized in everyday life."

Museum visitors are invited to step up to the Robofusion kiosk and design a four-layer frozen yogurt treat, choose a robot personality, and watch as the robot builds it to their exact specifications.
