Compass Group USA has acquired CulinArt Group, an independent foodservice provider for a variety of segments, including business and industry, health care and school operations.

A spokesman for CulinArt confirmed the acquisition to FSD via email, acknowledging that longtime CEO Joe Pacifico as well as President and COO Thomas Eich will continue to hold their respective roles, and that the company will retain its name.

CulinArt has business-feeding contracts in 16 states, operating at more than 200 dining facilities.

As reported by FSD last fall, Levy Restaurants—a subsidiary of Compass Group—purchased Prom Management Group, a Minneapolis-based firm that handles food and beverage operations for 35 golf events each year, including the U.S. Open and Players Championship.
