Harvard University Dining Services’ biannual student satisfaction survey indicated ambivalence toward sustainability on campus, reports the Harvard Crimson. It asked respondents to rate the importance of different aspects of their dining experiences. It found that food and hygiene was the highest concern, with 96 percent of respondents citing the taste of the food as very important. Freshness (86 percent) and cleanliness of implements (81 percent) also scored high, but only 42 percent rated food sustainability as very or somewhat important.
