Compass Group partners with Do Good Food to reduce food waste
Do Good Food picks up surplus healthy food from local grocery stores and turns it into chicken feed.

Compass Group North America is partnering with “climate-forward” company Do Good Food as part of its continued sustainability efforts.
Do Good is the parent company of Do Good Chicken, which it says is the first American chicken brand with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) verified carbon-reduced benefits. Through the partnership, Do Good Chicken will begin appearing on corporate cafe menus at Conde Nast, Google and other accounts where Compass Group operates. Do Good Chicken was also served at some hospitality venues at the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.
“Introducing Do Good Chicken in our cafes and dining venues not only reinforces our own sustainability commitments and Net Zero goals, but it is another way that we’re supporting our clients’ efforts to reduce their carbon footprint—all while helping our guests make a difference by simply enjoying a delicious meal,” said Amy Keister, global director of sustainability at Compass Group, in a statement.
Do Good Food picks up surplus healthy food from local grocery stores and turns that food into chicken feed. With each of its chickens, the company stops approximately four pounds of surplus groceries from being thrown away, according to a statement.
Additionally, Do Good Food says that in the first six months since its products were launched, it has diverted more than 10 million pounds of food from landfills, preventing an estimated 950 metric tons of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.
