Sodexo has announced that it will fund a $250,000 endowment to help develop a new doctorate of clinical nutrition program through the University of Texas Medical Branch.

The program, which will be conducted online, will begin in spring 2023.

Sodexo dietitians who enroll can receive financial assistance through the foodservice management company’s tuition reimbursement program and can also access professional development money, according to a press release.

“Sodexo is committed to creating a comprehensive career ladder for dietitians and we are investing in this partnership to provide a path to advance the skills of clinicians,” Julie Branham, the company’s vice president of clinical nutrition, said in the release.

Sodexo says it is the largest private employer of registered dietitian nutritionists in the country.
