Staff at Abbotswood at Irving Park, a senior living community in Greensboro, N.C., worked together to install raised wooden planters in the community’s courtyard so a resident could garden during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Winston-Salem Journal reports

Abbotswood’s dining director and environmental services director worked together to install the planters and plant them with tomatoes, heirloom butter beans and more.

The gardens are part of a new initiative at the senior living community through which staff work to grant residents’ “quarantine wishes” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
