Chefs from Ohio Living's senior communities throughout Ohio recently participated in a virtual cooking competition.

The competition, which was sponsored by Butterball, had eight chefs team up and create dishes using ingredients from a mystery basket. The dishes were photographed and judged based on presentation.

"Our culinary professionals enjoy the art of designing beautiful plated entrees," John Andrews, division director of culinary and nutrition services for Ohio Living, said in a statement. "Now that takeout is customary due to the pandemic, our chefs and cooks have had to suppress some of their creative drive for designing beautiful plates in favor of packing up to-go orders."

The winners were the chefs from Ohio Living Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, Ohio, who made maple glazed donuts with turkey bacon, turkey spinach lasagna and turkey street tacos.
