The dining director at Concord Park Senior Living in Concord, Mass., held a virtual cooking demo for local seniors, Wicked Local reports.
More than 25 attendees learned how to prepare lemon chicken soup, salmon cakes and chocolate mousse. The dishes were chosen for their ingredients, which are linked to better brain health.
Attendees also learned how to select brain-healthy ingredients while shopping.
Concord Park Senior Living is not the only senior-living community using virtual chefs demos to engage seniors. Last month, Heron’s Key, a community in Gig Harbor, Wash., hosted a virtual baking demo for its residents and other locals.
