Alice Waters partners with UC Davis to create Institute for Edible Education

The space will allow K-12 operators, UC Davis faculty, local farmers, students and others to collaborate to improve food systems.

Influential chef and restaurateur Alice Waters has partnered with the University of California, Davis to create an institute dedicated to improving food systems in the local community and beyond. 

The Alice Waters Institute for Edible Education will build upon Waters’ Edible Schoolyard Project and provide a space for K-12 operators, UC Davis faculty, local farmers, students and others to learn how to provide healthy, sustainable meals for the community. 

The innovation hub will be located at the university’s forthcoming Aggie Square in Sacramento.
