As T-Mobile Park in Seattle transforms into a hockey paradise on New Year’s Day for one of the most unique sporting events in North America, fans attending the 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic are in for a star-studded lineup of Pacific Northwest menu items to choose from. Sodexo Live!, which serves as the hospitality partner for the T-Mobile Park tenant Seattle Mariners, has crafted the big-game menu that will only be available on January 1 for the matchup between the Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights.

“We’re so excited to kick off the New Year with this once-in-a-lifetime event,” says Sodexo Live! District Manager Meagan Murray. “It’s been so much fun to plan for this, and to get creative—whether with the fried chicken ice cream, poutine burger or coconut hot chocolate—so we can give fans an incredible experience. Our team of culinarians, servers, and bartenders have looked forward to helping host this event for a while, and we’re ready for some hockey!”

“We’re excited to host the city’s first Winter Classic and welcome hockey fans to the ballpark,” adds Mariners Vice President of Fan Experience Malcolm Rogel. “The menu we’ve created in partnership with Sodexo Live! and our incredible vendors represents the best of the Pacific Northwest, and we can’t wait for fans to try the limited-edition items we’ve created.”

This game continues the tradition established by the NHL in 2008 of hosting a regular-season outdoor game on or around New Year’s Day and will be the first time that it has been played west of the Central time zone. It will also be the first regular-season outdoor contest in franchise history for the Kraken, and the first time either team has participated in the Winter Classic. T-Mobile Park will be the fourteenth venue and eighth ballpark to host.

Designed by Sodexo Live! Executive Chef Javier Rosa, the menu features creative dishes from local Seattle suppliers, partners, and many of chef’s unique creations. In addition, instead of traditional lemonade stands, there will be coffee and hot chocolate locations stationed throughout the ballpark to keep Kraken and Golden Knights fans warm.
