Levy introduces new food and beverage options at NHL and NBA arenas
Fans attending pro hockey and basketball games this season can treat themselves to plenty of new menu items.
Levy, the hospitality provider for a number of NHL and NBA arenas across the country, is introducing a wide selection of new food and drink items for the 2023-24 season.
While typical fare like pizza, hot dogs and burgers is always available and popular, the Levy’s chefs have updated these favorites with local and global flavors.
At American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars, there’s a Banh Mi Dog topped with pickled carrots, cucumber, jalapenos, cilantro and Sriracha mayo, as well as a Chimichanga Dog wrapped in a tortilla with nacho cheese sauce, salsa and guac.
The Portland Trailblazers arena, Moda Center, is serving up a Cuban Hog Dog topped with ham, salami, Swiss cheese, pickle and Dijonnaise sauce, while Paycom Center, where the Oklahoma City Thunder plays, has a Made in Oklahoma Dog featuring a black pepper sausage topped with pulled pork and mustard.
A Banh Mi Hot Dog is a new item for fans at Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars games.
Burgers are also getting some culinary action. The Smoke House Burger at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is topped with chipotle BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese, peppered bacon and whiskey caramelized onions. Other meaty options include the HTX Pit Plate at the Houston Rockets’ Toyota Center (14-hour smoked brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, jalapeno slaw and mac and cheese); Ropa Vieja Steam Buns at the Miami Heat’s Kaseya Center (bao buns filled with smoked ropa vieja, pico de gallo, aji amarillo sauce and scallions); and Double Smoked Burnt Ends smothered with Carolina BBQ sauce at Spectrum Center where the Charlotte Hornets play.
Innovation is in overdrive on the potato side. There’s a Birria Baked Potato and Crispy Potato Nachos at T-Mobile Arena, home of the Vegas Golden Knights, Loaded Hot Fries with steak cheese sauce and jalapenos at Minnesota Timberwolves’ games in Target Center, and Honey Butter Cheese Fries at United Center, which hosts the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks.
Soy Tamarind Wings are one of the globally flavored items at Miami's Kaseye Center.
There’s also plenty for chicken lovers. Among the more unique items are Candied Popcorn Chicken drizzled with plum sauce at Rogers Place in Edmonton and Soy Tamarind Wings and a Plantain-Crusted Chicken Sandwich at Kaseya Center. And Brooklyn’s Barclay Center caters to vegetarian Nets fans with a Lavan Pita filled with roasted cauliflower, tahini, tomato salsa, spicy green peppers and scallions.
