Cream of Broccoli Soup – All Natural

Yield: 2 3/4 quarts
Ingredients
3/4 cup All Natural Canola Oil
3/4 cup Yellow Onions, Fresh, Medium, Diced
1 cup All Natural Unbleached All Purpose Flour
1 3/4 qt. Water
3 Tbsp. and 1 tsp. Custom Culinary® Master’s Touch® All Natural Reduced Sodium Chicken Base
1 1/2 qt. Broccoli, Frozen, Cut
2 tsp. Lemon Juice, Fresh
1/8 tsp. Red Pepper, Ground
1 cup Organic 2% Milk
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder

Preparation
1. In a 6 qt. sauce pan over medium high heat, heat oil. Add onions; sauté 3-5 minutes.
2. Blend in flour. Cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
3. Add water, Master’s Touch® All Natural Reduced Sodium Chicken Base, broccoli, lemon juice and red pepper, stirring constantly. Heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and gently boil for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Add milk and onion powder, mixing well. Heat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and gently boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
