Ingredients

3 garlic cloves, peeled
1⁄2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1⁄3 cup tahini sauce
1 tsp. ground cumin
1⁄2 tsp. salt
2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
1⁄2 tsp. paprika
2 15.8-oz. cans black-eyed peas, drained
14 6-in. pitas, quartered
Fresh chives (optional) 

Steps

  1. In food processor, process garlic for 3 seconds, or until minced.

  2. Add next seven ingredients. Process until smooth, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.

  3. Serve with fried pita wedges. Garnish with fresh chives, if desired.
