Virginia governor creates task force to make school meals more diverse

The committee will be made up of students, parents, teachers, nutrition experts and others.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced the formation of a task force aimed at making school meals and academic calendars more inclusive to various cultures, WTOP News reports

The group will be divided into two subcommittees made up of students, parents, teachers, nutrition experts and others. 

Task force members will meet throughout the summer and provide their recommendations in August.
