School district hosts 1st family food and wellness expo
Parents and students were able to learn more about the school nutrition program and sample some of the foods to be offered during the school year.

Manteca Unified School District in Manteca, Calif., hosted its first family food and wellness expo, Manteca Bulletin reports.
The free expo was put on this week by the district’s nutrition department and allowed students and parents to try some of the meals that will be available during the school year.
Parents could also stop at 13 booths to learn more about the nutrition program, including its presale and charge policy and meal benefits.
