Barnesville Exempted Village School District recently received a donation of more than $1,000 to help students who can’t afford to buy school lunch, reports WTOV9.com.

This is the third consecutive year Astoria Place of Barnesville—a healthcare center—has donated money to the district.

Officials of Astoria Place say that their goal is to ultimately donate $10,000 to the district.

"All of my children have been raised and went through Barnesville Schools and my grandchildren are now, and we’re just very dedicated to (the) school lunch program," Astoria Place’s Jackie Huntsman told WTOV9.com.
