New York City schools have added a 100% New York beef cheeseburger to the lunch menu, DNA Info reports.

NYC SchoolFood and the State Department of Agriculture partnered with local farmers to serve between 350,000 and 500,000 of the burgers on Thursday. The burgers, served on compostable trays, will be offered on three more Thursdays during the school year.

The burgers were introduced as part of NYC schools’ New York Thursdays initiative, through which school lunches are made with locally grown or produced foods every Thursday.
