New York City Council members plan to introduce a bill that would curb processed foods at public schools, AM New York reports. 

The proposed bill, which would force the Department of Education to remove all processed foods from public school cafeterias, was scheduled to be introduced at a council meeting this week; however, the meeting was canceled due to weather.

New York City serves almost 950,000 meals to public school students daily, according to AM New York, but how many of those meals include processed food is unclear.
