The nutrition team at Blount County Schools in Maryville, Tenn., is looking to raise money to continue providing free meals to all students at the district, 10 News reports.

The district is looking to raise $2.5 million through its Feeding Our Kids Campaign to continue offering the free meals. They are accepting donations from both businesses and individuals.

Now that the pandemic-era waivers that provided universal free meals for students have expired, many school nutrition programs are going back to charging students for meals. Some states, however, have provided funding in their budgets to continue offering meals at no cost.
