Gov. Rick Snyder has named Amy Klinkoski, nutrition services coordinator for Grand Rapids Public Schools, to the Michigan Food Policy Council, reports Michigan Live. Established in 2005, the 25-member council is funded in partnership with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. It recommends programs and policies to the governor to support a healthy food system and enhance economic growth through the state’s agricultural diversity. Klinkoski has been nutrition services coordinator for Grand Rapids Schools since 1996.
