Nebraska legislators are considering a bill, LB 758, that would expand the state’s Farm-to-School Program Act to include preschool programs, News Channel Nebraska reports.

Signed into law last year, the Farm-to-School Program Act provides students in the state with farm-to-school educational opportunities such as cooking demonstrations, farm visits and more.

The law also helps Nebraska schools partner with local farmers to source food for school meals.
