Cleveland schools to offer free meals to all students next year

Through the Community Eligibility Option, the district can provide free lunches to all 5,200 students at the district's nine schools. Lunch Money may become a thing of the past for Cleveland City Schools. CLEVELAND—Lunch Money may become a thing of the past for Cleveland City Schools.
      
"You are good to go," said a lunch server at Ross Elementary School, "thank you," replied the young man taking his food to his seat.

Next year, Cleveland City Schools will experiment with a free lunch pilot program.
